When considering a Jane baby travel system you first decide on which chassis to get depending on your needs and requirements. Then you simply decide on the seat arrangement that you like best.
Jane pushchair chassis come in three styles which are;
1) The Twin- PowerTwin 360 is the chassis for doubles as the name suggests and is choice for parents of twins or where you have children of a close age. Extremely versatile the Powertwin360 can be used with 2 carseats, 2 pushchairs or even one car seat and one pushchair. How cool is that?
2) The 3 wheeled chassis in a choice of Slalom Pro, the Powertrack and the Powertrack 360. All these chassis are a little wider than the four wheelers and this gives a feeling of stability. The whole chassis feels a lot more substantial than some other makes and comes with pneumatic tyres mounted on quick release wheels. Ideal for packing into the boot of your car.
3) The four wheelers are named the Nomad, Carrera C and the Carrera Pro which all fold for easy storage. This is a very important point to consider when buying any kind of pram or pushchair as houses are small enough when there are children about.
Note to mum; 360 means the front wheels turn 360 giving great agility to the pram, Pro denotes a one handed facility for locking/ unlocking the chair to the chassis.
Now weve chosen a chassis it is time to consider the car seat. The options are;
a) The Rebel; Designed for infants from birth to around eighteen months this is the model which is most like the normal car seat giving good support to your little one. Weighing in at approximately two and half kilos it is light and robust and also features a one touch harness, washable covers (good thing!) and a nice rocking motion.
b) The Matrix; A design unique to Jane this car seat features a special handle which when pulled allows the rear support to lie flat meaning you get a carry cot into the bargain, of course the benefit to mum is that if junior falls asleep in the chair it is easy to lay him down without having to risk waking him (or her).
c) The Auto carry cot as its name suggest is a carry cot, slightly larger than the Matrix for comfort and stability and able to be strapped to the rear seat of the car for safety and security.
I hope this quick guide to Jane prams, pushchairs and travel systems helps you when deciding which model to purchase.
