Why should Americans learn conversational Spanish or anybody for that matter?
Well in today's world English is probably the most common international language used with Spanish coming in as the second most used language.
If you are in business it is important to be able to speak to your clients and if the are not English speaking but have a second language then chances are the will have Spanish as there second language. Being able to do business on a global field is important to some companies and many will even pay the tuition fees for leaning a second language for the staff. So if you work for a large company that deals in a global market check with your bosses to see if they offer any kind of training or if they will pay for your course fees, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
If you are going it alone and just want to learn a second language then Spanish is going to be a good choice as there are so many places in the world that speak it. When you are in a foreign country and you can speak the native language you will find that you will get a lot more respect from the locals just because you have taken the time out to learn there language.
Again back to the question why should Americans learn Spanish? Well one good reason is that there are so many Spanish speaking people in the population in America today, just think about it for a moment how many people do you know that speak Spanish in your area of America, wouldn't it be nice to communicate with them in both English and Spanish?
So stop thinking about it and go out here and learn conversational Spanish now.
