1.4pm on a Sunday evening (its always worse on a Sunday!!) and I have to pack for the week and then drive to some unknown destination to be ready to work with a new group of people for the following week.

2.Just after dinner in the evening when I'm tempted to stay in front of the telly (even though there is nothing worth watching!!!) rather than go and make those coaching and sponsoring calls.

The simple answer is, of course, money!!! Training gives me money now and the coaching and sponsoring are building residual income for the future. So I am really fortunate because I can run two businesses to meet all my financial needs and work on both of them part time. Also the travel frequently enables me to visit my family who have conveniently located themselves at useful way points heading north!!!

For me, though the two primary reasons are: personal freedom and the opportunity to help other people. The personal freedom comes from being able to chose when I work on which business, where I am prepared to go and who I am happy to work with and?..I can immediately affect my current and future income by the choices I make and the effort I put in. No waiting and hoping for a good salary review and then finding that the company "needs to economise this year" or sweating on the big deal coming through for that key bonus payment. I am master (mistress doesn't somehow sound right!!!!) of my own destiny and am thus motivated to get on the road or out of the armchair.

Both businesses give me ample opportunity to help people both now and in the future. The training is the now and immediate future - helping people to do the current job more effectively or add qualifications to their CV ready for the next job or promotion. The sponsoring and coaching is the medium and long term future. Helping people to build a business that will add to their current income (small amounts at first) and ultimately to enable them to "sack their boss" if that is what they want to do. Then they too have gained the freedom to work when, where and with whom they want and, for those with families, they have more time to spend with them and less need to have children minded (and in effective brought up) by other people.

The other factor that gets me up and going is that both businesses require me to spend time on my own personal development, which in turn improves the quality of my life and enhances my ability to help other people. The ultimate goal is complete freedom, including the freedom to spend money and time helping those people in society with the greatest needs, whatever the cause of their current circumstances.

So I'm not superhuman and am often late leaving on a Sunday or spend just ten (or more!!) minutes in the armchair!! Having clearly defined goals for myself and other people AND feeling that I am in control of my life and am choosing to do whatever I am currently doing makes it so much easier.
