There is so much excitement when you fish. In fact, the time literally just slips away. The bass are sometimes hard to catch, and other times, it is easy. It depends if they want to put up a fight with you that day. So get your boat ready or sit on the bank. Grab everything you need for the day or the week. Make sure you pack a lot of bug spray because of the mosquitoes and the other bugs. They can carry diseases like West Nile Virus!
The best time is when the water is calm and cool. Watch the weather channel for news updates on storms and bad winds. Make sure you bring lots of food and water with you. Also make sure you have your fishing pole and a map with you when you go on the trip.
The Mississippi River is a big river, which stretches on for miles and miles. Just find a good spot to stop and fish your catch for the day. You may want to stay out there forever because of the good time you are having fishing, absorbing the beauty of nature, and seeing the beautiful waters.
If you decide to swim in the river, then be careful. You have to watch out for undertows that can pull you in and cause you to drown. The Mississippi River is also home to a lot of snakes that can bite you and cause great injury and even death if you are not taken to the hospital quick enough. There are also wild animals in the woods, so watch out for them. In the river you can go boating, skiing, swimming, and so much more.
You can jet ski, but exercise much caution when doing so. Make sure you do not throw your cans or food wraps into the water because you can contaminate your fishing water and create a hazardous environment for other people and other animals. You do not want that to happen.
When you catch that big bass, stick them in a bucket full with water to keep them alive until you eat them. Bass tastes really good - just watch out for the bones! Don't throw the rest of the fish on the ground because it will bring animals in you camp. Instead, keep all of your trash in a container of some sort until you can throw all of your trash away. Enjoy your trip, and have the time of your life!
