Lots of foods can give you the anti-oxidants needed to combat the free radicals that age your skin and cause cancer. Vitamins A, C and E can help to boost your skin's ability to rejuvenate and fight off the ravages of ultra-violet light. So tucking in regularly to meals rich in these vitamins – and make sure you consume them together. Vitamin A is very important for the health of your skin. The richest sources of this vitamin are cod-liver oil, liver, carrots, spinach, milk and egg-yolk. Liver and cod liver oil (yummy) are high in vitamin A, which is also very good for skin. The skin is considered the outside indicator of inside health, and putting expensive creams, lotions and treatments on the outside of the skin can't alleviate problems that stem from inner nutritional deficiencies. Consuming the right foods and avoiding the wrong ones can reveal beautiful, youthful-looking skin without the high price tag of expensive cosmetics.
