Mnufactured as a variant off the 156 and allocating several of its technical components, GT is smart two-door sedan styled by Bertone planned to strike deep into the territory ruled for so many years by BMW's 3-Series car. Driving pleasure is right at the peak of the list of features, but this is not at cost of traveler ease; the styling is cunningly developed to provide place for elders of usual structure, and reasonable baggage place. As with every Alfa Romeos', the selection of drivelines is wide, Selespeed, Alfa's clutch less gear shift is presented, and a sense of fitting to an exclusive club comes standard.

Designed as a response to the Golf and Focus, 147 is unmistakably Alfa Romeo especially in its fire-breathing GTA variety. Offered in two and four-door designs and with a selection of engines from a peppery 1600 through to the GTA V6, there is something in the choice of each. Handling is intelligent, and most prominently of all the car makes the driver feel involved. Styling is clean, and was the first to show the retro-modern grille that has from then been accepted across the rest of the range.

Presently in its next generation, 156 has become a credible alternative to the BMW 3-Series. The Sportwagon variation is making friends at quiet a rate, offering the correct blend of looks and space.
