Our training centre is owned, operated and standardized by airline training pilots. The owner has more than fifteen years experience as a flying instructor. The team of standards pilots have much the same, if not more. We have extensive long range and short-range airline flying experience as well as experience in the airline-training environment. We all come from a background of general aviation commercial flying and training. Full time instructors are trained and checked to fly and teach the airline way. It is our objective to mould your flying operation so you can take advantage of this type of training.

TRAIN THE AIRLINE WAY

This is one of the few flight schools that will train you using airline training concepts and methods. These are concepts that have become an international airline industry requirement and norm. Concepts you are only going to have to acquire later anyway.

LET AIRLINE PILOTS SHOW YOU

Airline training pilots supervise all flight training. You will be checked, assessed and flight-tested by one of these airline check pilots. Your instructor too, is rigorously trained and regularly checked by our panel of airline check pilots. You will get first hand access to what it is like operating as an airline professional.

FULL TIME TRAINING

Would you choose to go to university full time or part time to obtain your degree? Full time flying courses have proved to achieve more effective results in all forms of training. Here you can close yourself off from life's usual distractions and concentrate on the task at hand: training to become an outstanding professional aviator.

DEDICATED TRAINING ENVIRONMENT

We are in the business of teaching you, the client, to fly. We are not involved in charter, aircraft hire, aircraft maintenance or any other facet of the industry. You will be assigned your own full time instructor who, under the watchful eye of the check instructors, will take you step by step through your course. The ground lecturer will supplement your training with briefings and lectures. This team cares about you and your flying training. They would like to see you develop into a dedicated professional, just as they are.

CONTROLLED AIRFIELD ENVIRONMENT

Unless you are training to become a bush pilot, why train in the bush? Learning in a controlled airspace environment means that you will have the benefit of radio procedure experience, controlled airspace experience, radar procedures and traffic sequencing. These are not experiences you want to be surprised with after your course. They should be an integral part of your flight training. Not to mention the thrill of flying among the big ones right from the start. Don't allow yourself to miss out by burying your head in a ?quiet learning environment? only to be caught by surprise later.

FLIGHT SIMULATION

The facility has now included a brand new Beech 1900D simulator to our instrument trainers! It is the only one of its kind in the region! All primary training as well as advanced turbine training will be done on the machine.

The B 1900D will provide the following applications:

Primary night and instrument rating training (Commercial candidates)

Proposed and approved PPL instrument rating training

Part 135/121 recurrency training as per SA-CATS regulations

Type specific conversion training (including ground school)

Special Operations Training (ACAS; GPWS; Windshear ;RSVM; AWOPS ; Low visibility Procedures; Weather avoidance; GPS; CRM refresher; Turboprop orientation)

Airline Operation Programme

Multi Pilot License (MPL- soon to be ICAO approved)

FACILITIES

The training centre is situated at Port Elizabeth airport. We have classrooms, briefing rooms and a dispatch facility adjacent to the hangers at which the aircraft are kept. The fleet consists of Piper aircraft, keeping progressive training transitions smooth. Every instrument flying lesson will be pre-flown on the simulator facility.

Fuel facility is on site as is aircraft maintenance. The airfield has:

Primary and secondary radar

An array of airliner traffic operating in and out.
