There are a lot of categories and options available for an applicant in cruise ships. One of the options that people choose to apply for are musician, under entertainers section jobs. A musician who had all sort of experience with their instrument can choose to have a gig or two in a cruise ship. They are asked to play to entertain the passengers and below are the list of all the jobs available for a musician on board a cruise ship.

Guitar Players

A variety of guitarists are very flexible and most of them include playing in a band, in an orchestra or playing solo and some could even do vocals by doing so. They can entertain people in a bar setting or an orchestra stage.

Piano Players

Piano players usually entertain on bars and lounges on board the cruise ship as piano's can bring out moods that is most proper for those places. A piano player can also be in a band or an orchestra while some solo pianists can sing. They must know a variety of song as most of the passengers would request different ones from time to time.

Bands

Consisting of 3 to 5 musician, bands can be requested to play in a bar setting or at an evening activity set by the cruise line. Bands are supposed to be flexible as they may sing and perform in different themes such as disco, rock and roll, country and more.

Drama/Actors/Actresses

They are one of the leads or stars of an entertainment in cruise ship as they may include singers of different genres. They may also sing during an opera, an act or in any event that is set by the cruise line. They may play in theaters along with the orchestra.

Orchestra Group

This group may consist of 6 to 20 musician that plays as a group, during an opera or during an act on board.

The opportunity for a musician on board a cruise ship is very good but standards are very high as quality music is asked for from them on the daily basis.
