3. Disease prevention
The last benefit to maintaining a consistent physical fitness has to do with disease prevention. A number of studies have found that activity can control or prevent several different conditions. Because exercise improves the ability of your muscles to eliminate waste and toxins from the body, it can actually lower your risk of getting colon cancer. It can also cut a woman's chances of getting endometriosis in half. Working out will also strengthen your bones reducing the risk of osteoporosis later in life.
