It is claimed that the new models will combine full high definition (HD)capabilities with the latest Bravia technology to offer an "amazing homecinema experience".
Commenting on the launch, Sony Europe's director of home video marketing DavidWalstra said that both the BDP-S350 and BDP-S550 were "a must for everyHDTV owner".
He added that for those looking to obtain the "best possible 1080phigh-definition video and incredible sound quality", the models could bethe right purchase.
Sony's has incorporated its Bravia Sync technology into the players along withits range of Bravia - this makes them simpler to integrate into one package.
