Boot camp is also not the solution; the captain might fight you for your stash of Twinkies. If you are like me and a couple of million other people, you probably work in front of a computer the whole day. Here are some tips to get you going, yes, you can still be lazy and lose weight.
1. Some walking
Walking sounds to easy, but yes, you need to start walking. Real walking is what works, not walking to the kitchen for something to eat.
Make it a habit of walking for at least an hour in the morning before anything else. If the weather is not friendly, then go to a mall. Most malls are open early for the mall walkers. The stores might not be open but you can walk around the mall for an hour or so and window shop or make some mall walker friends.
If you don't look out, the power walkers, who run the mall might run you over. You might also become a mall power walker and burn more calories at the same time.
2. Swim
If you own a pool or are a gym member you can try swimming, it's a great way to get an aerobic workout.
If swimming sounds like too much work, then you have not been in the water for awhile. Swimming is fun! We are not talking about joining the swim team, either. If you can get out and swim a few times a week, this will burn off the fat.
3. Try to eat more meals
If you eat more meals but smaller portions your body will be able to process calories better while it's working to digest food. This means that if you only eat 2 or 3 meals a day your metabolic rate will be slow.
4. Stop snacking while watching TV or at the computer
You have to beak the habit of having a snack at hand. You have to learn to say no and just doing this will help you lose weight from around your stomach area.
5. Find a substitute
Change out the bad food, for the good. This is so easy to do once you get the hang of it. Start eating more fresh fruit when you want to eat something sweet. Stay away from the French fries and chocolate shakes. In fact, stay away from McDonald's and Burger King for awhile. Start including more unprocessed foods in your diet. This gives your body something to do while you are sitting at the computer.
All the work is done while you aren't doing much, now that's the real lazy way to start losing weight, don't you think?
