Congratulations, you're now 24 weeks pregnant. So much is now going on with you and your baby. Changes are almost happening daily.

Your baby now weighs a little over 1-1/4 pounds and is anywhere from 8"-11" long. At 24 weeks pregnant you are most likely feeling a lot of kicking and moving about. Sometimes it may feel like your baby is trying to do some remodeling in there!

Baby's brain is growing quite rapidly now. At 24 weeks pregnant the lungs are really forming now. It won't be long before they are fully matured and producing sufacant.

Have you noticed yourself rubbing your belly a lot? One of the sure signs of being pregnant is rubbing your tummy. Don't be shocked either if you find others wanting to rub your tummy as well. It almost feels like a magnet at times.

Another side effect of being 24 weeks pregnant is the beginning of stretch marks. It's not at all uncommon for women to get stretch marks at this stage of their pregnancy. If you find yourself getting stretch marks on your belly, you may want to take some steps now to help stop them, or at least slow them down. Applying lotion to the area on a daily basis will help, as will wearing a good fitting bra.

Another pregnancy symptom is your eyes feeling dry a lot more often. This is called dry eyes. It can be reduced by using Visine, or a similar eye drop.

Be sure you are drinking plenty of water during this stage of pregnancy. It's very easy to get dehydrated if you're not careful. Try to drink 64 ounces of water each day to prevent any problems with dehydration.

As hard as it may be at times, enjoy being 24 weeks pregnant. You'll look back on this time a few years from now and miss the experience. Just think, you only have a few months to go.
