Apartments In Jersey City For Rent
Chris Channing
There is a complete culture and history behind the Jersey City that older folk remember. Jersey City has blossomed into a thriving city with plenty of things to do on a vacation, or even for a lazy afternoon for local residents. Getting to know the city, its residents, and forms of entertainment is a complete experience in itself.
Transportation is something travelers need to keep in mind when going to places they aren't familiar with. Whether or not they get a rental car, bring their own, or even if they decide to take an RV- they'll need wheels to get around. But if travelers are fine with public transportation, Jersey City won't disappoint with its many bus routes, train routes, and airports.
The "sights" in Jersey City are plentiful. One of the biggest attractions is Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Both items are largely associated with New York, but they are indeed jointly shared between the two lands. The Statue of Liberty is just a short distance away from Jersey City, whereas it stands two miles away from the New York shores.
A tourist attraction that is soon to be dismantled is the Colgate Clock. The Colgate Clock has long been revered as the world's largest clock, but Colgate has left Jersey City and only an abandoned lot remains around the Colgate Clock. Talks have been made to see if it can be moved, and plans will likely commence to move the clock to make room for other businesses and opportunities.
Jersey City is especially friendly to females, who just love to shop. There are a total of ten different shopping districts to visit in Jersey City- each with their own style and different shops and goods. Jersey City commonly brags that their sales tax is only 3.5%, compared to the 8% or more that other states and locations abide by. As such, Jersey City is considered a hot shopping location for tourists.
Parks are also a great way to spend a family vacation. Planning a picnic, playing park sports, or just enjoying the breeze of a great summer day are a few ways to take in everything a park has to give. There are three famous parks in Jersey City; Liberty State Park, Leonard Gordon Park, and the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway. Each one has unique elements that should be seen in person to get the most out of a vacation.
In Conclusion
Jersey City has a great reputation as a tourist-friendly location. And indeed, the rumors are true- a tourist can't go wrong by planning their next vacation at the wonderful location of Jersey City, New Jersey.
