You may have heard of Google cash and seen many of the advertisements to make money through putting Google ads on your website. There are ads all over the place and, if you are like me, you will mostly ignore the majority of ads.
Different people I know who have tried to make money by putting Google ads on their site have told me that they do not get that much from it and some even wonder if it is worthwhile allowing Google the space on their websites for the return they get. Others have told me that they got nothing from having Google ads on their sites, so they decided to make better use of the space by putting their own products there.
When you hear negative reports about having Google Ads on your own website, the immediate reaction you would probably have is not to bother with the idea. Who wants to waste their time flogging a dead horse?
Advertising is a mixed bag. You will meet some people who will claim it works, but the majority of people are often not sure and feel they have to advertise to prevent their competition from getting an advantage over them. Regardless of what people think about advertising, Google are making a fortune from getting their ads placed on websites all around the world.
Not only is Google making a fortune from advertising, they are also paying out a fortune for pay-per-clicks to people how allow the ads on their websites. The question is who is getting the money? I have put my hand up; you can put your hand up, too.
More people are becoming Internet conscious every day. Just think how many people there are in the world. Now just think of how many businesses exist where you live and how people are able to make a living from those businesses. Now ask yourself: How many customers do those businesses have in a week?
Some businesses only have 70 customers a week and they make a comfortable living. Other businesses need 700 customers to make a living, while larger stores might need 7000 customers and larger organizations might need 70,000 customers.
As you can see, it doesn't take too much looking around to realize that if a local traditional business can make a living with less than 700 customers, you would be able to make a living from the Internet, which has the potential of 7,000 million customers. There are not that many people using the Internet yet, but there is more than 700 million people using the Internet. What this means for you is there is a big market for you to tap into at the click of your mouse while sitting in your own home.
While I know people who discouraged me from making money on the Internet previously; these days I am not so fooled. There is plenty of money to be made. Just knowing the tricks of the trade is all it takes.
