How To Remove Unwanted Hair
Monica C.
It's fairly easy to remove unwanted hairs if you're a woman. Definitely, the removal of the hair must be less aggressive than what would be normally done if you were a male. In addition, there must be an added attention to detail; uneven hair trimming for instance, can really render an arm or a leg unattractive or even icky, sometimes.
Some Notes About Shaving
The most popular means of quickly removing clumps of unwanted hair is by shaving. Usually, women just use disposable razors just after they shower. It's less of a bother after a bath; the skin and the hair are both softer and more pliable than when dry. Shaving after a bath also ensures that you can avoid cutting yourself when shaving.
If you really like shaving, here are some tips. Pick disposable razors that have movable, jointed necks. These special razors follow the natural contours of the underarms and legs and can be more efficient in closely shaving the hairs. Always shave across the hairs to achieve a smoother and less painful shave.
Styling With Tweezers
Unlike males who can tweeze their brows and mustaches all they want, females actually have to shape their facial hairs to be more attractive. Women in general cannot be slovenly when they plan to shape their eyebrows. However, did you know that if you do the plucking enough that you can cause permanent damage to the roots of the hair shafts themselves?
When this happens, there's a big chance that your eyebrow hairs and won't be coming back anytime soon. Don't worry though; this type of damage occurs over a very long period of time: usually, years. If you're entering that phase of your life when hair is becoming sparse throughout your body, you might want to reconsider plucking out your brows. Instead, why not opt for a less aggressive hair removal approach, like trimming?
Hot Wax!
The most common hair removal method for the bikini area, legs and large areas like the back and the chest is hot waxing. As the name implies, hot waxing makes use of hot oils and paraffin wax to trap the hairs on the surface of the skin. When the potent mixture finally hardens liker resin, the hardened swath is removed with one swift motion. This can be a bit of a surprise to first time wax users, but it's normal.
It's quite normal to scream during the first pull. Successive pulls are tolerable, though. The main advantage of using this not-quite-friendly hair removal method is that you can have up to 8 weeks of hair-free time. If the hairs return quickly, you're still given a fairly good period of at least 2 weeks or 14 days.
Sugarcoat It
If you like a more natural 'waxing' method, sugaring would be it. A paste made of some essential oils; sugar paste and other natural ingredients are mixed and applied on the areas that require hair removal. Naturally, the sticky mixture eventually dries and forms a solid layer over the skin. If you do it correctly the first time, one swift motion would also pull out the unwanted hairs from your skin.
