How To Stop Falling In Love

Yesterday, at about lunchtime, I received a call from a young man who wanted to know if I could help him get into shape.
Well, I listen to him tell me all the reasons why he struggles to find the time to get into shape and how he eat 's pretty good etc....But still can't do it!
For every possible solution I gave him and there was plenty, he had a reason why it would not work for him.
After about 5 minutes of playing that game, I said- you win, I really think you can't get into shape.
He said! What do you mean!
Well, you have convince me that you are beyond help, so before you and I waste anymore time discussing something that we both agree can't be fixed - I am going to say goodbye and then go and eat my Tuna Salad.
He called back later and is now a client of mine. Amazing Uh!
You know, we spend so much of our life's struggling against ourselves and the things we are sure we can't do. The only problem with that is, most of the time we let fear stop us from even giving things ago to prove otherwise.
Thought Of The Day

How To Stop Falling Short!
Well after 5 amazing, exciting & relaxing weeks of traveling overseas, I am back into action and ready to go.
My business partner, & myself have just finished 2 days of corporate training on the beautiful Gold Coast with the Harcourt's Future Leaders & Cadets crew. (I know it sounds tough, but someone has to do it)
One session that really stood out for the group and myself personally, was that of reaching your Goals and targets in life.
I would like to share with you what we discussed, as it was a nice reminder for me after being on holidays for the past 5 weeks in regards to getting back into action.
We talked about how in Australia - there is no real chance of ever starving to death; due to plenty of organisations to help us out when in need.
What does this have to do with reaching our goals & targets!
Well, if one of our goals is to own a Porsche or a big fancy house etc along our journey in life, then the real questions is, Are You Prepared to do what it takes to achieve them.
Because let's face it, you will get through life without the Porsche, but the person you will need to become to achieve it, is the real GOAL.
If you set a goal to obtain something that you want and run into a Hurdle, it can be real easy to just change the goal.
What this means is that we never get to experience or build the ability to live up to our full potential.
Instead of focusing on the object or goal, try focusing on the person you want to be (values), so that when you run into a Hurdle you can ask yourself, does the person I wish to be- make the tough calls and jump the Hurdle's or get stopped by it.
Goal's will come and go, but developing yourself into the person you really want to be in life will assure you of success - whatever that may be for you.
Exercise For The Day - This exercise will help you to connect with what your values are or just help you to re-connect with them.
1. Close your eyes and picture you are at your Funeral.
2. Then have someone from your family, friends, work, social club, and talk about the type of person you were.
3. Do it, so it is not what you think they would say, but what you would like them to say about you.
4. Write down the main key words and this can become the values to which you live your life.
5. Review this list anytime you are confronted with a hurdle and it will help you to jump over it.
