How To Make Rc Plane
Victor Epand
Experience the pleasure of flying, especially on one of those great looking radio or remote controlled planes. The amazing altitudes they climb, the great looking colours they come in - all in all, it is an awesome experience. Boys and men have for years loved flying. Some brave guys who took the initiative in the early 1900s, did a big favour for other enthusiasts and 'flying brothers' like themselves. What is trimming? You may ask. To trim your plane, is basically to ensure that it is well balanced enough to fly in the blue skies. If not trimmed, then you would just have to invest in a new plane.
There are plenty of ways to ensure that your plane is well trimmed. Always remember to trim before the first flight only. There are a couple of ways, depending on when you choose to do it. When you are in flight, you can take the help of the transmitter levers, in case of an emergency or problem. But do keep in mind that it is temporary and you do need to adjust the controls once you land your plane. In between flights, you may adjust your neutrals, and fly the plane on a temporary basis with the help of offset controls.
The best and permanent way to trim your plane, is a little lengthy but has promising results. First check the control surface of your plane and ensure that it is straight, or else, it affects the direction of your plane. Make sure positions of the fuselage and wings are in place every time you assemble, as positions changing can affect the overall balance of the plane. The wings and the stabilizer should always be on the same side. The trim and balance point should be in the centre of the wing, otherwise it will only be able to fly straight. You can also put a pin on the top of the rudder and a hook in the middle of its nose. Tighten it with rubber bands, and let it hang. Then to add balance, add wooden screws on the tips of the wing on the lower side. Now take it up in the air and follow a few instructions on how to manage the control surface.
You should increase the down thrust only when you open throttle. But when you close throttle, reduce the down thrust. If you feel that the plane is a little tilted, you may add a light weight to one of the wing tips. Basically, you can
use wooden screws on either wing to give it the necessary balance it needs. If you keep an eye on the rudder, it will help you a lot. Do this when in neutral. If you find it a bit off, then adjust the thrust accordingly, to increase or decrease it. Initially, it is wise to stick to a stable speed limit and travel mostly in neutral. This does have a positive effect on your plane. Finally, always trim or balance when the fuel tank is nearly empty, as the tail gets heavier. This in turn helps you.
