Exfoliate your skin! One of the biggest factors that cause acne is that your skin is not getting properly cleaned. Using a gentle exfoliation will rub away the dead skin and impurities, revealing only fresh, revitalized skin. It is recommended to exfoliate each evening for one week and then reduce usage to two nights a week thereafter.
Leave your pimples untouched! Never attempt to squeeze them. Beat the temptation to pop those zits because it might result in permanent scars and 'orange' skin. Touching your face may also help spread any bacteria that is lying around, worsening your acne condition. The pimple should go away in a week's time.
Instead of medicines and ointments you can use facial masks made at home for treating acne. Vinegar is known to be an instant remedy for acne and pimples. You can dab apple cider vinegar or white vinegar on the affected areas to cure pimples. You can also apply toothpaste (except gel) on the acne and allow it to stay for 10 to 15 minutes. After that you need to wash it off and rinse off your face. As your skin dries you can apply rubbing alcohol on the area that has been affected and retire to bed. The next morning your acne will be gone.
Use lemon juice. Fresh lemon juice is a better smelling alternative and also works quite well. Squeeze the lemon juice in a small bowl and apply on the entire face with a cotton ball. Wait until it dries up and then wash off with warm water. Lemon juice has antiseptic properties and can quickly attack those persistent pimples.
Home made combination- use a little bit of cucumber with honey and garlic. The three of them shall be properly crushed prior to using. If it is applied well over the area of impact, it will lead to vanishing away of pimples overnight. The idea is not to sleep on the same side as the pimple.
Use apple cider vinegar. This concoction can work wonders when you wash your face with it. However, this pungent wonder is not loved by everyone and you will need to check if you can stand the smell before washing your face with it or you might just end up without sleeping adequately throughout the night and wake up all puffy-eyed in the morning.
Eat foods that have zinc in them which are shellfish, whole grains, soybeans, small amounts of nuts, and sunflower seeds. A diet containing low levels of zinc may promote flare-ups. Zinc is an antibacterial agent and a necessary element in the oil-producing glands of the skin.
