How Media Affects People
James Hunaban
You peruse women's mags and you adopt the advice of the specialists! But, your workmates for whatever reason don't want to speak to you today. Cheap talk isn't what they want to do near you. You might not realize that in your rush this morning, you forgot to brush your teeth and you do not possess a chewing gum. Additionally if you recall there were the impressive number of fags you smoked last evening and the couple of glasses of vino you went through all now making their presence felt.
As it dawns on you that you forgot your teeth cleaning ritual this morning, and as the midday meeting begins, you keep wondering if you actually want to take part. You do not wish all the folks to know about your little inconvenience and you are frightened that if you unintentionally breathe on somebody they'll recoil away from you. You then also remember your tremendous dread of going to the dental practitioner and you realise you have not been for your checkup for absolutely ages.
Your breath's bad aroma may be embarrassing sometimes. You talk to a person and they begin to make faces. Plainly, he or she has a reason for that and you sure feel offensive because you know the person's discomfort is a result of your carelessness.
You begin to add up your untreated caries or your smoked fags or you realize you have a problem with your everyday repasts. For example you can't give up consuming things like garlic, cheese, fish or other foods that make your breath reek. You also realize that you're forever on the run, and your breath smells bad nearly every day. It occurs today, it will occur tomorrow and it will be foul the day after.
You start suffering; you isolate yourself or even begin covering your mouth with your hand whilst talking to somebody. Psychologically, this is a very grave problem and you eventually recognise that only a dental practitioner can assist you. But alas, because you detest attending the dental practitioner, there will forever be grounds to put off the checkups: a deficiency of money, no time, since you're busy and so forth.
Once you begin feeling bad about your bad breath all day long, you attempt to find various useful solutions like: chewing gums, mint refresher sprays, menthol candies. All these though are suited to make your breath fresh for only short time periods.
You afterwards discover that not only does the bad smell come back, but a regular employment of these products may induce some tongue and gums discomfort or might even cause a laxative effect. You must reconsider this sort of thinking! This is a health problem and you need to take the bull by the horns and visit the tooth doctor. The dentist could represent your salvation when addressing bad breath and treatment is sometimes very simple, without any hurt. Do yourself a favour; visit the dentist for everybody's sake.
