You can expect to find updates to all the major sections, starting with an all new avatar system very similar to the Wii, although with far greater graphics. You can expect to find many custom outfits and modifications for your characters and hopefully Microsft will figure out a way to incorporate achievements into this in some way.
Details about the fall firmware update, include a family timer that limit's playtime on the console to a set amount of time every day or week. Also expect to see downloadable versions of games from Microsoft's original console that will sell for 1,200 Microsoft points ($15) each. Another feature mentioned would allow gamers to see their friends' friends lists just like facebook.
The new update will be made available beginning Dec 4 at 2 a.m. Pacific time.
Other amazing new features include the addition of a news ticker on the dashboard that will provide a steady stream of updates direct from Microsoft themselves. All new expanded bio sections and a handful of welcome interface tweaks that will add support for more video codecs and full-screen movie previews.
