One of the most puzzling stages that anyone has to go through is adolescence. This is the stage that the is too old to be considered a child, yet too young to be considered an adult. There are many problems that individuals tackle during this stage. Oftentimes teenagers have to deal with problems and conflicts as well as changes in their bodies.

Parents have to understand the critical role they have in guiding their in this tumultuous stage. Parents should be more personal in guiding their children. They should be able to relate to his or her interests, such as hobbies and friends. Parents are expected to have a deeper understanding of the weaknesses and strengths of their children. Having this deep understanding will enable them to empathize with the experiences of the child, and give them the proper insight in guiding their children especially in confronting new circumstances.

It is also important to set a good example. Parents must exude confidence so that their children can learn a thing or two about self esteem. Parents can invite their children to share their insights during adult discussions.

If the parents feel that their children are into some sort of troubles, they can talk with him and initiate some form of serious discussion. If he is having some acne breaks, take him a dermatologist.
