Manufacturers, it seems, develop cell-phones now with facilities that are aimed purely at the younger generation because they are more likely to want to change their phone as each new model is launched. Although the cell-phone boom may not have been expected to this degree, the manufacturers have been very quick to improve the cell-phone beyond all recognition to what it once was.
It is the number of functions that can be added to the cell-phone that puts it ahead of its landline based cousin. To make them a little more individual, new features like backgrounds called cellular phone wallpaper have been added.
The internet has been a big help with obtaining wallpaper directly available online. Now, using the cell phones own camera, images can be used as wallpaper and even sent to other phones. If you prefer you can use an image you have captured previously on your own digital camera but the process takes a little longer to install.
Why not add some text as well, possibly something funny to your cellular phone wallpaper, just to add a little more of your personality. Those people that have older models may not be able to do this but it really shouldn't matter or make you feel as if you are missing out on something. Cell phone ring tones are another way of giving you phone that individual feel so even if your phone cannot change its background, you may find that the ring tone can be changed to make your model more individual.
Not everyone is obsessed with customizing their cell phone though and only require that it performs the tasks it was originally designed for, i.e. making calls. Text messages are a prime example of this because you can send one without anything else being needed. I suppose it is nice to be able to customize with cellular phone wallpapers but wouldn't you prefer one that worked as well and didn't just impress other people?
Try to bear in mind that not everyone is interested in your life and conversations so as a final point try to think of others when you use your phone. Many people will judge you by how you use your cell-phone as it shows what type of person you are.
Turning off your phone when you are in a restaurant or library for example, shows respect for those that are also there. You may even get the respect from other users if you respect them they will not use their phone without thinking in situations that may annoy you. In an age where people think about how they look to others a great deal, it is surprising that this has not improved cell phone etiquette but this means that you can do something to change the situation.
