I have something against those people who do nothing to look younger. Just because they are now in their forties or fifties, they let themselves "look" old, not necessarily "grow" old. While you can't do anything about "growing" old, you surely can do something about "looking" old. I also agree that age is nothing but a number and how old you are is first how old you "think" you are. You can delay the aging process for as long as possible if you continue to "think" and "look" young all the time.
Today's world of science has a lot of processes that help you look younger as you grow older. A lot of these processes have even gone commercial. This is why you can actually see a sixty year old looking thirty. But we are yet to see a process that stops you from dying.
You should not be surprised to learn of aged people besotted with disease still alive at this time. Even back in those ancient years, when there was no medicine or technology to facilitate it, people still stayed alive longer than you would expect. With all the anti aging procedures available to man, people are sure to live longer still.
Cheating death is easy. All you need do is welcome it. It is a trick that has worked for ages and will continue to. The more you fear something, the more it hunts you down; the more you welcome it, the longer it takes for it to overpower you.
You people used to live longer back in the day. Perhaps it was because of the drug and medicines that they used in those times. Perhaps people die quicker and younger these days because of the many secrets to good health that they have lost over time. Perhaps the only true path to longevity and perfect health is a re-visitation of alternative medicine.
The work done by Andrew Weil in the field of general medicine and particularly for anti aging cannot be denied. This is in spite of the fact that the center focuses on herbal and alternative medicine that has been much shunned and neglected in the past. How the tables turn!
There are movements for the promotion of acceptance of old age amongst the aged in the United States. Conversely, there are also those that decry it. People such as gerontologists think that being old means a loss of skills and functions, as well as a reduction in overall quality of life. The worst part is that they are not quiet about it.
There are a lot of bodies that have carried out surveys to establish how people react to coming of age and eventual aging in American. Some ascertain that younger people are often not as happy as older ones. Others realize that seniors tend to be better story tellers and become more agreeable and conscientious with age. Basically, it is a lot of reason for people to not strive to remain young, or to at least focus less on life extension.
