The disasters caused by hurricane Katrina in December 2005 have captured the Congress attention who took the decision to pass the Gulf Opportunity Zone Act of 2005 (the "GO Zone Investment Act") providing support to individuals and businesses affected by hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma.
