Normally, one quarter of the penis is within the body itself and freeing it increases its length for erection. 70% of the people who have resorted to this procedure say they are not satisfied and have experienced many problems. An average of 20 to 30 cm is the reported increase in the length of the penis through this method. Attaching foreign bodies to lengthen the penis is unadvisable and unsafe. Doing so can cause many problems and it is recommended you do not resort to any such method.

Inflatable implants are another popular method that men suffering form impotency resort to. These implants are placed inside the groin or scrotum and a hand held pump is used to operate it. These can allow erection wherever one wants and they can be placed just about anywhere within the pubic area. Also one can choose the time one wants the erection for.
