It will surely give an additional advantage which is choosing the color. Aluminum windows are not that much efficient as are the other two but there maintenance is absolutely free. The most famous are clad with vinyl which are highly energy efficient and have a matching wooden frame at a low cost and do not require extra maintenance.
It is important to remember that when constructing your greenhouse/conservatory a window whether it moves or not will decide the cost. The more stationary or fixed windows that you use in your design the less is going to the cost. You can plan on the windows as to which windows should be fixed and which windows can be opened or closed which will give you an extra flexibility when you are using the room but with no paying for the flexibility that you won't be using.
