Best Way To Lose Abdominal Weight

I have to think that going all the way back to the beginning of civilization, a family gathered around a fire, eating the day’s kill, and just as they were about to finish, a skinny man in spandex jumped from behind a rock yelling “I know the best way to lose abdominal weight!"
Now, cavemen might not have cared about seeing a set of ripped abs, but modern day man sure does. Everywhere you look there are crunch machines, miracle pills, and even belts that shock your stomach…yes I said SHOCK your stomach…to supposedly help you lose abdominal weight and define your abs. More often than not, however, these products are big on claim, but short on results. Well, all but the electric shocker belts that is. Some lawsuits are still pending on certain versions of these; it seems they left very visible results on some of the users in the form of second degree burns. Ouch, I think I would rather have a fat stomach!
So, if purchasing a simple item off of late night TV is not the answer, what is? I know the secret, but you might want to hear it. I know the one surefire proven technique to help you start losing abdominal fat today. Ok, are you ready to hear it?
Diet and exercise.
Wow…I think I actually heard you groan from here…impressive. Although most folks wish for a super secret all in one cure for abdominal weight, there real secret is that it takes some effort. To begin with, regular exercise will start to speed up your metabolism and work to begin burning fat off of your body. I am not talking about lying on the floor and banging out 1000 crunches though. Sure, you may feel your abdominal muscles the next day, and you may even feel good about yourself, but you won’t do anything about losing your abdominal weight. Crunches are great once you have LOST your stomach fat. Aerobic exercise such as running and jumping rope are what is needed to get your body in gear. In addition, lifting weights will help to build muscle and since muscle mass actually burns fat, this will help to speed up this process even more. What about the crunches? Won’t matter really. If you lose fat, you will lose abdominal weight. You don’t need to do one crunch to make your abs show.
The other factor as I said is your diet. While exercise is extremely important, your diet is VITAL for your weight loss success. If you keep putting empty fat and sugar calories into your body, you will be fighting a losing battle. You have to focus on a diet that will help support your exercise goals while minimizing the calories and bad food you put into your system. Here is just one example: Eating extra protein in the form of lean chicken and fish is incredibly healthy for your body and will support the growth of lean muscle tissue. Build more muscle and your body burns more fat. Eating snickers and drinking soda does NOT build muscle.
So the next time you see one of those late night commercials touting the next SUPERAB fad, just smile, knowing that you are on your way to a better body as you now know the best way to lose abdominal weight.
