Best Way To Detox Your Body
Mercedes Aspland
The first thing you need to do is use a body brush on a regular basis. I always do it before I have a shower in the morning. You can either use a brush or an exfoliating glove but I prefer a brush. You are best to start at the soles of your feet and brush up your body in circular movements. This will help to stimulate the cells under the skin which in turn will increase your skin's radiance.
You can now get in the shower with your fresh skin. About once or twice a week you should use an exfoliating cleanser. This can be done in the shower or the bath as you should make sure your skin is wet. Using your exfoliating cleanser apply this to your skin in circular movements. Where you have tough skin, say around your feet you should be a bit rougher. If you have areas of your skin that are sensitive be very gentle and keep the abrasion down to a minimum.
When you are selecting your exfoliating cleanser go for one that is grainy. It should have ingredients like oatmeal, ground almonds or sea salt in as this will help to remove the dead skin cells. Once you have rubbed the exfoliating cleanser into your skin you should jump under the shower and gently rinse it off with warm water.
When you get out of the shower you need to dry yourself off. To prevent damaging your skin you need to pat your skin dry. Just gently pat all over until you remove the moisture. Never rub your skin as this will just cause damage to your newly exfoliated skin.
Once you are dry you should always moisturise your body. You should not only moisturise your body after you have exfoliated but every day after you have your shower. I would also say it will be a good idea to moisturise every evening before you go to bed as well. This will allow the moisturiser to soak into your skin.
It is a good idea to use a moisturiser that fits your skin type. If you suffer from dry skin then you should use a thick heavy moisturiser that you apply liberally. If you feel you need something less powerful then you should go for a lotion or a milk that will have a lighter coverage of your skin.
It is important to remember the skin on your body, this needs almost as much attention as your face, if not more. There is nothing worse than rough out of condition skin across your body. I like nothing more than to feel my skin after I have exfoliated, it feels really smooth and healthy. All you need to do is to take care of what you have, we all have the ability to have healthy smooth skin it is just a matter of working hard to achieve it. You will find the confidence that it gives you will shine through in no time.
