Villas In Costa Blanca
Anna Stenning
Moving to Spain is a decision that requires plenty of research and consideration. Particularly when moving to a popular destination such as Costa Blanca. Buying a property in Spain has become cheaper and more accessible to people looking to buy for the first time. Costa Blanca villas are amongst the properties, which have steadily become more popular to purchase for a reasonable price. These are no longer exclusive to the rich and wealthy!
Costa Blanca villas have fast become popular amongst the property market, as more people are looking to either retire or settle in a luxurious environment. Villas are priced from around 100,000 Euros for a typical two-bedroom villa to around 500,000 for four-bedroom villa. Most of these villas are built with en-suite facilities, newly fitted kitchens, front promenade and a swimming pool. Some of the more luxurious villas can also contain a tennis court.
Many of the Costa Blanca villas are self-contained, but for those looking to use this as an investment may want to experience renting out a villa in this region before going ahead and buying their own. This way you will get a better idea of what to do when renting out the rooms and the kind of service the guests will need. Often you are able to rent out the villa without the need for extra staff members to cater for your needs. However, many of these villas do have cleaning services, which is more important that hiring a cook or receptionist.
Villas are generally good for the way it allows people to be more independent in their chosen accommodation. Depending on the size, some villas accommodate large groups of people with some couples sharing one villa with other couples. These tend to have en-suite facilities and are fully catered with staff at hand for all your needs. These villas are more expensive to rent and are better for people looking to turn their villa into a business venture.
When looking for a villa to build in Costa Blanca, you will need to consult with an expert agency to gain some advice on the plot of land to choose from, and the location to which you will gain planning permission. Furthermore, you will need to research the Spanish legal system in terms of property registration and the process involved with building on Spanish land. It is always advisable to approach a Spanish construction agency and consult with your own independent solicitor, getting as much information as you can beforehand.
For those who have never visited the Costa Blanca region, will need to designate some time aside to make a visit for a short period to become more familiar with the area. The Costa Blanca has a high tourism rate, which is ideal for potential investors; however, some parts of the Costa Blanca (particularly the Northern side) can appear deserted and derelict so this may be ideal for people looking to live in a quiet area.
One thing to keep in mind is the transportation links and the distance between your villa and the town centre or nearby amenities. If you do decide to purchase a villa in a derelict area then it would be a good idea to see how often public buses run or how far away you are from local shops etc. Most importantly of all is to book for viewings, even if it means flying back fourth from home, it is worth the effort, time and money as then you are on top of everything when it comes down to signing a contract.
