The exact time for when the first jewel was ever made has never been established, but this is of little importance compared to the importance that jewels have always had on us. I guess we will never know whether the first people who ever walked the Earth wore jewelry or when a jewel has become as important as it is today. This is not important to us nowadays as all we need to know about a jewel today is picking the right one to match our outfit, to express our feelings or to show our good taste and knowledge about jewelry in general.

There are many reasons why people buy jewels and many more why they wear them, but one thing is certain and this is that a world without jewels would be too plain and boring.
