Don't despair, however. There might not be a cure all, but there are different treatments that can prove very beneficial for some people. In essence, many people simply have to find their own acne cure. One treatment that works miracles for some people, might not for others. This, however, does not mean that viable treatments cannot be found.
The trouble with any medications that promise an "acne cure" for everyone lies in the fact that acne can have a variety of causes. Where some people might simply have hereditary conditions, others might find their breakouts stem from hormonal issues or maybe even prescription medications. Seeking out the right cure often goes along with narrowing down the possible causes.
While the prospect of actually having to take time to find an acne cure likely won't please those in the throes of a major breakout, there is hope. The variety of different proven treatments is rather spectacular. With a little effort, it is more than possible for most acne sufferers to find one that helps them out at least a little if not a whole lot.
Unless acne is particularly severe, the standard procedure for treating involves sort of a step up method. Start out at the easiest, least costly and least troublesome potential treatment and work up gradually from there. Here are some of the options:
* Time. For many, the simple passage of time is all that it takes to cure acne. While this particular acne cure won't be welcomed by those in the middle of a breakout, it is one that can work wonders for mild to medium cases. When stress, hormones or other passing problems are at the root of acne, time is often the only real cure necessary.
* Over-the-counter remedies. Most pharmacies are chock full of acne cures. From mild creams and cleansers to more tough products, these can really help some people battle breakouts and even prevent them from recurring. The best route here is to start out with the weakest possible solution and work up slowly, unless of course a moderate to severe breakout with scarring is a problem.
* Special order products. There are a lot of different companies that make mail-order and Internet order acne cure products. Some of these work very, very well. When what can be obtained down the street doesn't work, one of these just might.
* Herbal remedies/diet changes. Sometimes herbal acne cure products or even home creations coupled with a balanced diet can lead to great results.
* Prescriptions. Some people have to turn to medical advice to keep their acne at bay or at least in check. There are some great options here, but many see them as last resorts due to their potential side effects and pricing.
Finding an acne cure is not something that everyone will find easy. With a multitude of potential causes, this condition is one that doesn't have a 100 percent, surefire cure. There are lots of options out there, however, and many of them work extremely well.
