Our definition of beauty has been defined and redefined ever so often. However, one of the most common definitions of beautiful is being lean or shall we call it slim. According to studies, the most common problem plaguing all the countries of the world today is obesity. It is a widespread problem. The one positive thing about this disease is the fact that it is possible to get rid off. You need not die of it, should you take the right precautions. Some of you may think, oh I'm just a bit overweight, nothings going to happen to me. I won't die. You are highly mistaken. The first step towards ridding your self of this potentially life taking disease is to recognize that you are over weight and need help. Overweight leads to obesity and very often obesity leads to life threatening diseases. Most heart attacks are caused due to obesity. Diabetes is another growing disease and obesity plays a major part in it. So find out from your doctor about what your ideal weight should be, if your even 2 pounds more than that, I suggest you start shedding those extra pounds.
By performing your daily activities everyday, you shed some calories. However, it takes the burning of an additional 3500 calories over the amount of calories you shed everyday, for you to start losing weight. Sounds like you have a long day cut out for you. It is the simplest of things that can make the greatest of changes. Your diet and exercise could be the key towards ensuring you have a good, long, healthy life.
Learn to keep a watch over your calorie consumption per day. Check the calories for whatever you eat during a day. O lose weight, your calorie intake needs to be less than the amount of calories you burn out everyday. Stop drinking beverages like Coke, Pepsi, and Sprite. drink water instead. By drinking water, you are saving your self 97 calories. Try to restrict your self from mid day or tea time snacks. Eat a bagel, a small whole wheat bagel with peanut butter. You will be saving your self 185 calories. At work, use one of your breaks to walk up and down a flight of stairs for at least about 10 minutes. This ought to help you burn about 100 calories. Try brisk walking everyday. You do not need to so it for one hour or so, just get up 10 minutes earlier than you usually do and do brisk walking in that time. You can burn close to 100 calories. Try doing yoga once you get back from work everyday. On an average you should lose 50 pounds everyday.
Changing your every day habits is the right step towards finding a healthier you. It is our everyday habits that are making us more and more obese. We are obviously not going to lose our weight over night. But surely and steadily we will lose weight, one day at a time.
