The Gunvault is one of the more respected brands out there to go with, and is the first one to be reviewed.

This one uses scanners to easily and quickly tell when it's your fingerprints, so you don't have to wait a long time. The percentage of times it will reject your fingers is very small.

It's made of high quality steel, which prevents any thought of anybody else accessing it, and the inside of it is very well padded to keep the gun and anything else in pristine condition.

The fingerprint sensor will usually last for twelve full months with the nine volt battery it makes use of, although this number will obviously depend on how often you open it. Under normal use, however, it should last a year, and make sure you keep tabs on it.

The last thing you want is somebody breaking into your home and not being able to get it open. It includes a backup key to enable you to get to the gun or other storage items in the event of an emergency. Perhaps best of all, it's just nine pounds, making it very easy to lug around.

The BIOBOX biometric gun safe is yet another one to think about. This particular model sells for two hundred and thirty dollars, a relative bargain when compared with other models.

Also, depending on the website you go with, you can get no cost ground shipping with it as well, obviously another nice feature.

It comes with a small design, and also fingerprint lock system, the most secure kind of lock you can get. It uses four double A batteries, and therefore allows you to open it more than one thousand times before they need changing.

Obviously, again, keeping track of their power is important.

The fingerprint access can also keep track of more than one person, so you can give access to more than just yourself, if you so choose.

Last and certainly not least, we have the BioVault 2.0 Biometric Gun Safe - BVSB1-B, which sells for three hundred and fifty dollars, a tad pricier than the previous one reviewed. With this one, you can store other things than just your handgun with no sweat at all.

It is able to keep track of as many as fifty different fingerprints, therefore giving access to many users, and of course, only you can determine who gets this.

Assuming you use it a standard amount, you can use three regular D batteries around one year, and if you use it more than usual, obviously you will need to replace it slightly sooner. It processes your finger and opens the vault in under a second, which is vital if your house is being threatened.

It's very strong, and you know nobody is going to break into this one. It also receives a recommendation by the NRA, obviously a nice feather in its' cap, and if you want the top of the line biometric gun safe, this is the one you should probably go with.
