Okapiland Map is an interactive world atlas with an interactive site information on the map. The operation of the map is similar to Google Maps, e.g. drag the map to move and double click the map to expand or reduce. A variety of sites are displayed with the icon, and it has a link to display the information of the site in a DHTML window widget. The map guides you to a variety of places including UNESCO World Heritage sites. The places are widespread from remarkable culture heritage to impressive nature.
The culture sites are historical place, historical building, monument, archeological site, rock art, resort, astronomical observatory, and antarctic research station. The nature sites are national park, wildlife conservation area, geographical site, fossil site, breeding site, and natural habitat. The mixed sites are land mark, oasis and mountain pass. The geographical sites are mountain, mountain range, volcano, waterfall, wetland, glacier, cave, crater, desert, oasis, cliff, and cape. The wildlife of the breeding sites and the natural habitat are coral reef, mangrove, whale, penguin, turtle, bird, elephant, cat family, gorilla, orangutan, and polar bear.
