Abortion means ending a pregnancy so that it does not result in the birth of a child. If a woman thinks she is pregnant but hasn't had a pregnancy test done, she needs to do so as soon as possible. One in three American women will have an abortion by age 45. Abortion is one of the safest medical procedures provided in the United States and Canada today. The term spontaneous abortion, or miscarriage, is used to signify delivery of a nonviable embryo or fetus due to fetal or maternal factors, as opposed to purposely induced abortion.
There are different types of abortion:

Symptoms
If a woman has an abortion at anytime, her chance of developing breast cancer goes up by at least 50%
Vaginal bleeding
Abdominal pain, low-back pain, severe menstrual-like cramping
Passage of blood clots or tissue from the vagina
Nausea and sometimes vomiting
Sleep or eating disorders
Avoidance of pregnant women, men, doctors, children or baby clothing
Difficulty forgiving others or accepting God's forgiveness for yourself
Fear of punishment from God
Inability to tolerate the sound of a vacuum cleaner or a dentist's drill
Suicidal thoughts
Frequent or uncontrollable crying
Nightmares or flashbacks
Feelings of helplessness or isolation
Treatment
In the event of spontaneous abortion, the tissue passed from the vagina should be examined to determine the source of the tissue (fetal vs. hydatidiform mole) and if any fetal tissue remains in the uterus (incomplete abortion).
