Books Need To Read

Has anyone stopped to consider that some very basic needs of the human body are not being met and that the body is simply trying to tell us something important?
These basic needs are simple ?number one - adequate vigorous physical movement to stimulate the necessary hormones that instruct every cell, organ, tissue and system in the human body to repair, renew, rebuild and replace itself.
Number two ? enough nutrients to carry out the above work on a daily basis.
With at least 60% of the people on this planet either overweight or obese, one out of every two people with a chronic disease or illness (many with multiple conditions) and the rest of the population constantly fatigued, tired and worn out doesn't that point to something being seriously wrong with the way we are living?
If we continue to deny what out bodies are hardwired for which is plenty of physical activity on a regular basis how on earth do we think we are going to stay healthy?
Not only are we failing to provide our bodies with the basic physical activity requirements we are also denying them the building blocks of proper nutrition so they can heal themselves. We purchase our food from the supermarket shelves, pretty boxes filled with dirt cheap ingredients that contain little to no nutrition. How can we expect our body to work with this?
So what does it do, in a cry for help it turns up the appetite thermostat and food cravings in the hope that it will get what it needs, vitamins, mineral, protein, good fats and other essential nutrients to remain healthy. When we continue to poke highly processed junk, full of sugar, unhealthy fats, zero protein and chock full of chemicals into our mouths it can only store this rubbish as excess body fat so it is safely out of the way. It is a matter of survival for our body.
Add to that the fact that most of us hardly move all day every day. We drive to work, we sit at a screen all day, and we drive home and sit maintaining our addiction to television.
We may think we are busy and we probably are but the fact is our body is living a totally sedentary and inactive life.
If you are overweight or have health problems you can easily turn this around. Get started on a proper exercise program that contains at least 60% strength training exercise to build back lost muscle tissue. This will increase your metabolism (your body's engine) and start dealing to that excess body fat.
Add in a couple of interval training sessions each week which involves short bursts of activity alternated with rest periods. An example of this is to sprint all out for 10 seconds then walk for 30 seconds to one minute depending on your fitness level to recover. Repeat 8-12 times. This will also give your metabolic engine a rev up.
Tidy up your eating plan to complete the picture ? aim for 5-6 small meals every 2-3 hours throughout the day. Each of these meals should contain 20-30 grams of protein and the rest raw and cooked vegetables and a small quantity of complex carbohydrate.
Try to stick to unprocessed whole foods as much as possible and focus on what you should be eating not what you shouldn't be eating.
Don't expect everything to be perfect, just aim for improvement each week and as you build new healthy habits back into your life you will be rewarded with more energy, more strength, better health, and you will start to look and feel so much better. This is a guaranteed solution to take you from being overweight and heading down a spiral of poor health to a happier, slimmer, energetic and rejuvenated person. Try it and see for yourself.
