It seems like the Colombian start never stops shinning, but the day wasn't glorious for every body, American driver Scott Pruett who had done more laps at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez than anyone else in the field, finished fifth after he had an incident with his teammate Montoya who spun him to take the lead with eight laps left.

Montoya had a problem with his vent hose and his crew ran in trouble with the refueling, which provoke his drawn from the third position to the 19th. In his try to reach the front he had the incident when contacting with Pruett. .

Pruett was very disappointed and classified Montoya's move like ?dirty?. For specialist on this field, Montoya had the fastest car, which means he was going to be the winner anyway. However, Montoya apologize to Scott, and assure the public it was unintentional and definitely an accident.

It would be a lot better for Montoya to win the NASCAR event without any controversy; however, he gave Ganassi the title adding up one more victory to his career.
