So we get started in our network marketing business and we are ready to rock! We can't wait to make that $1000 or more a month. Then we get into the business and realize that it's not going to happen like that over night. We all see the big income earners up on the stage at our company conventions.
Then we say if they can do it, so can I and yes you can! But do you know how to do that. The reason the big income money earners are making all that money is because they have a big warm market of network marketer's or business contacts that they have built relationships with over time. Think about it for a minute, if you had a list of contacts that all had mlm experience already, how fast do you think your mlm business would explode. That's right over night.
Now you might be saying something like, I don't have a list like that. Then start building one! You see when we start this business most of us are told to buy lead list, pick up the phone and start dialing. Now how many people do you think that get started in your network marketing opportunity will want to do that. That's right not many. Their will be those that will have no problem cold calling lead list. But they are few.
The challenge with cold calling is that is cost you money and a lot of time. I should know! I cold called leads for two years and recruited over 150 people from the cold market and none of them had any experience in mlm. Now making cold calls has it's place in your business.
Now what if you had other networkers calling you and asking you if they can join you in your business? I bet you would love that! Wouldn't you? Well it can happen that way for you. Other networkers or business contacts are your real target market not lead list. Their are millions of network marketer's in the world who are failing because they are not taught other marketing strategies to build their network marketing business.
Just buying lead list and cold calling is not an effective way to explode your Downline. Like I said cold calling does have it's place when it's done at the right time in your business. Now one way you can build a targeted list of network marketers is by building relationships with them and showing them a solution that will help them build a large network marketing organization. By giving them a solution, you are building a solid relationship and trust with them.
If you do this over time, some of them will enjoy working with you and see you as a leader, a person of value. Networkers like to be around people with leadership qualities and who can show them value by giving them many solutions that will assist them in building a large network marketing business.
So remember, network marketing is all about relationships and the leader with the most relationships with other network marketing professionals will win.
