Most women get breast augmentation because they want to be a little bigger, a litter perkier, or more proportionate. Maybe Mother Nature was not as generous with your chest!
However, incorrectly sized breast augmentation can have negative side effects.
First off, it may simply just look wrong. After all, most of us aren't exotic dancers or supermodels, For many women, too-large breasts look out of place, unsuitable and disproportionate for our individual body type.
Also, many women have experienced back and spinal problems as a result of having too much weight on the chest area. This may sound funny, but it's no joke. You don't want to underestimate the weight you're adding to your body.
Another aspect to think about is your wallet. If your breast augmentation surgery adds too much or too little, you're going to want a follow-up surgery. This means more money and more recovery time.

Another thing to keep in mind is that if you get super-sized implants or just implants too large for your frame, you can't make them disappear.
If your breast implants are too large for your body frame, it might be uncomfortable to sleep on them, exercise properly or function as you normally would.
Also, remember that the main reason why people have to go back for a second operation is not because they're too large, but that they're too small. It would be terrible to have gone through the experience and the expense of surgery, only to be disappointed with the results.
Either way, this is an operation you want to get done right the first time, so make sure you know which size you want.
The most important part of your implant operation is your consultation with your doctor. He or she will be experienced with breast implants and will be able to advise you. However, they can't make the final decision for you.
The best thing to do is to take in sample pictures, showing the doctor about how big you want them. Most plastic surgeons have before and after pictures available on their web sites to help patients decide.
Show your doctor pictures of what you want, but also bring some pictures of what you consider too big or too small. This will give them a range to work with and a good, clear idea of exactly what you want.
Your doctor may have sizers that you can try on and get a feel for. Would you buy shoes without seeing how they fit? Of course not.
The sizers are measured by the fluid inside and in cc units, and usually range from about 200 to 350, and even further up. Take them home or order some well designed sizers online and wear them around the house. Make sure they're just the right size.
Breast implants are a wonderful way to enhance your body, and correct nature's little inadequacies. If you go into your operation with a good idea of the size you want, you'll get the results you want and you won't have to go back for more.
