Some women find that they have to come up with creative reasons for buying so many handbags. They either have too many in their closet and must provide an answer to their husband on why they need to spend money to buy one more. The husband might not even be aware of the handbags that are hanging on the hall tree at the office.

The fashion world is constantly coming up with new handbag designs and some women fall in love with these designs and can not justify why they need one more. They only know that they have to have it. They might get away with the small excuses a couple of times, but after a while their purchases will make many family members start to worry.

Some women use their love for shoes to justify the need for another handbag. The shoe fashions may drive some women nuts trying to keep their fashion accessories matching perfectly all through the year. As fabrics and other materials change, women are forced to add to their handbag collections at home just to keep pace with the latest fashion accessories that are on the market.

Some of the creative reasons might pass the blame onto friends that they work with everyday, or the friends that they meet at church every Sunday. These fashion conscious women find that they must purchase another handbag because a friend told them how delightful it was. Some women are quite taken aback about the weight of certain handbags and because they have back and joint problems, they feel that the new handbag purchase is fully justified.

Some women will shop for handbags throughout the year and use them for a while. Then they will give them as holiday gifts to their favorite niece or nephew and nobody is the wiser. When they can justify a handbag purchase in this manner, it makes the person really enjoy going holiday shopping in July or at any other time of the year when handbag fashions are changing styles.

Some women make the excuse that they need more pockets and compartments to keep track of the contents in their purse on a continual basis. They will then go out and buy several purses that offer various sized compartments and justify the purchase with the excuse that they might choose to carry the video camera in the handbag one day instead of lugging the large, zippered case that they always use.

Whatever reason a woman has for adding to the collection of handbags that are at home is certainly going to be valid. A husband would never think that their wife would lie to them about something that is considered to be such a trivial matter to them. If the husband is smart and caring, he might even choose to consider the handbag collection as a hobby and no man wants to tell the one they love the most in life, what hobby they can participate in, no matter what the cost of it is to the family budget.
