The first step for publishing a best-selling eBook is picking a best-selling topic. Picking that winning topic is easier than you think, if you know the formula.
To start you have to know why people buy eBooks. Generally, people buy eBooks for one of two reasons:
1. They are interested in the topic; or 2. The topic solves a problem they have.
So where do you begin? You begin searching for a group of people that are looking for information on a subject of interest to them. The fastest way to do this is to make a list of topics that you are interested in. The same way, you can make a list of problems you have.
Now that you have your list of interests and problems, you have to determine if there is a group of people that have similar interests and problems. You do this by going online and searching blogs, message boards, and other sites.
Once you have found a group of people with similar interests or problems, you can narrow down your list. With the remaining topics you just have to pick the best one. The best topic will be determined based on several factors including:
-the size of the group-the passion/need for the topic-the likelihood that the group will buy the needed information online-the competition in the subject area
After analyzing the topics you can easily narrow down to the single best one. Now that you have determined the needs and interests that you will meet, all you have to do is create a product/eBook that gives your market what they want.
