Advertising compels us to buy a product or pay for a service that we may or may not need. If an ad offers enough appeal to attract us we will in fact become a customer. PPC, banner ads and or email ads. The PPC or pay-per-click ads are helpful to those who have a minute budget for advertising. They can set up the minimum and maximum they can spend daily and monthly. The system will calculate how many times your ad will appear and once you hit your max amount your ad will cease to appear. You are only charged when a customer clicks on your ad taking them to your site. You have full reign on what keywords you use and your title, etc. Theses can be very successful in increasing your traffic flow to your site.
Banner ads can appear as scrolling or still ads that can contain text alone or a flashy combination of text and images. Theses ads can be as said flashy or simple and basic depending once again on your advertising budget as well as your over all ad preference. This can be similar to a billboard or even a mini television commercial. These can be effective but higher in price than a PPC ad.
The methods for advertising do not simply end with these choices as you can email newsletters, set up viral marketing with funny video clips or flash media games. You can also offer blog marketing for those customers who thrive on offering their own opinion or statement.
