The final major distraction some people face when they work at home is their telephone. You can be right in the middle of a major project when the phone rings. This requires you to get up and answer it thus interrupting you and distracting you from the task you need to complete. Sometimes the people on the other end of the line are interested in talking to you for a significant period of time which can further delay your work. Then when you are on a break from your work you can listen to the messages and write down each person that you need to call back.
