Are you afraid that you are becoming one of those women men leave? At every turn in your relationship, does he threaten to leave you or do you constantly argue with him about the smallest of things? Sometimes women push men away because; well they just are not good for us. But other times we fall back into bad habits and get left, which just hurts. Get a life of your own! Independence is one of the major reasons men leave, or lack of as it turns out. Often as women, we get so caught up in our love lives that we lose our independent selves and want to spend every waking minute with our man. Unfortunately, clinging for dear life to a man is not the quickest path to his heart. Get out there and enjoy spending time with your girlfriends and doing activities you two don't share. Not only will you find that when two are together your time will be more valuable, but you will also have more confidence in yourself as an independent woman. Showing your guy that you have a life beyond him you puts you one step further away from being like the women men leave.

This next tip can be quite tricky and can only be perfected with experience. Stop nagging your man about every little infraction. If your man was in the market for another mother, would you be the top contender? If you even had to pause to answer that question, you are more of a nag than need be. If your guy comes home three hours late without so much as a phone call, give him hell. However, if he accidentally used your favorite expensive lotion, or dried your dry clean only shirt, this does not require a state of the union on your relationship. Knowing how and when to pick your battles is a lesson that women men leave never seem to master.

One tip that not only affects your relationship status, but also your inner happiness is being a yes woman. Do you let your guy make all decisions? When he asks for your input, do you often say ?whatever you want?? If so, you are the walking definition of a yes woman. Just like us, men want a partner in a relationship not a brick wall. A close friend once told me that having no opinion is completely unattractive, and that while it is fun at first it gets old really quickly. Save yourself the drama and the hassle and speak up if you don't want to become one of the women men leave.
