The Nokia N95 is currently the topmost N series mobile phone and is probably the top model among the whole mainstream mobile phone fraternity. The handset's specification is like a dream come true for all mobile enthusiast. Loaded with a feature list which boasts of almost everything moder day mobile phone technology has to offer, the Nokia N95 is all set to take the world of mobile telephony a few step closer toward the ultimate goal of a single device that replaces all gadgets that we use today – starting from your digital camcorder to your PC.
Look wise, the Nokia N95 looks a bit bulky with its dimensions reading 99 x 53 x 21 mm. For a 3G smartphone, the Nokia N95 is quite light at 120 grams. The handset features a unique two way sliding action – a 'normal' one that shows the numeric keys and another slide in the opposite direction to reveal a set of dedicated media control keys. The handset's front fascia is dominated by its larger than life active matrix, TFT screen. The display is 16 million colour deliverable and produces very sharp and clear pictures in true to life colours across its 240 x 320 pixels.
The Nokia N95 was the first mainstream mobile phone to break the 5 megapixel mark of mobile imaging. The primary integrated camera module is endowed with lens crafted by world renowned Carl Zeiss optics. All possible digital imaging aids like autofocus, 20x digital zoom, flash light with rd eye correction, special effects finds their respective places in the Nokia N95. A secondary video camera is incorporated at the top of the display to aid 3G video calling. The Nokia N95 supports quad band GSM mobile network and therefore is fully functional in almost all corners of the globe. This Symbian smartphone features HSDPA technology – a step further than 3G with downloading speeds exceeding that of other 3G phones by many times. Other data connectivity tools includes GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth, Infrared and USB.
