Almost everyone in the world today owns a watch. Not everyone wears it, but that is another conversation entirely. Watches have become a necessity as knowing the time is very important in the modern world. People need to be able to plan their day so they can do all the things they both have to and want to do. Getting to work on time is a must whilst watching a favourite television programme is always something to plan for. Watches have therefore become so important to people's daily lives that the need to wear them is vitally important.

There are many different types of people that wear watches. One of these types are people that want to show off; they want to show off their personality, their thoughts, their feelings, their ideas. In fact, by wearing this watch, they want to show off everything they have to offer. And this is no bad thing. By wearing this watch, they are bringing out all the qualities in their personality. Turning this on its head, it is not the consumer who is bringing the personality out of themselves by wearing the watch. Instead, it is the watch company that is bringing the personality out of the consumer by providing a service to buy a product that has so many good qualities related to it and giving the consumer a sense of significance, aspiration and meaning.

There are so many different watch models it is almost impossible to list them all. There are however, some distinct characteristics that make up nearly every watch. Firstly, there is the face. Every facia is different but some have very similarities. This may be because they are part of the same series but are a slightly different model number. The strap is also different. Some straps are made out of steel and some out of leather. The straps may also be made up of one or more colours, giving the watch a completely different complexion. There are also many different features on a watch for example some may have an alarm and some may be water resistant.

There are many occasions throughout the year when it is more than permissible to give someone a present. Christmas is one the best times of year to do this. In the UK, Christmas is celebrated by almost everyone in some way shape or form. It is a time to give one another presents and celebrate the joyous occasion. There are many presents people can give one another. Watches are definitely a good present and are becoming more and more popular as the amount of different watches available is larger than ever before.

Everyone has their own opinion as to what makes a good watch and therefore deciding what the best watch is, is an impossible feat. Companies strive to make new and innovative watches all the time to try to catch as many new consumers as possible but knowing exactly what model will catch a particular consumer is very difficult indeed. As long as watch companies continue to produce new, innovative, stylish and creative watches, they really shouldn't have a problem selling them to consumers.
