Treatment For Diabetes Type 1
John Adison
Most people, these days are repulsive towards higher dosage of medicines made of chemicals due to the severe side effects they need to face as shivering, tiredness, skin allergy and dizziness. However, they don't have the slightest idea of what to do to stay away from these medicines and still acquire efficient treatment of diabetes.
If you're a person afflicted with diabetes mellitus, a team approach in your treatment would be the best way to handle your affliction. Your doctor, a certified dietitian, a licensed nurse, health care professional and diabetes educator should work hand in hand to have a systematic approach in the evaluation and management of your diabetes.
Diabetes is caused primarily by dysfunction of the pancreas and is characterized by impaired carbohydrate metabolism due to inadequate insulin action or secretion. It has become an epidemic in North America. It is increasing in alarming rates much faster than expected. The World Health Organization predicted an increase of only 39% from 2000 to 2030. However, recent results show that nearly one in 10 people have the disease today.
If you are taking insulin for your diabetes, you do not have to take it the rest of your life. That is if you treat it naturally. Unfortunately, many people try to ignore the disease. If diabetes is left untreated, it can lead to cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, blindness and joint problems. In extreme situations, diabetics could lose circulation to the peripheral tissues and amputations may be necessary.
Diabetes carries an increased risk of heart attack and stroke because of an increased tendency for atherosclerosis. Medicines use to treat this condition are: Triphala-Guggulu, Medohar-Guggulu, Panch-Tikta-Ghrut-Guggulu, Arogya-Vardhini, Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Behada (Terminalia bellerica), Sunthi (Zinziber officinalis), Marich (Piper nigrum), Pippali (Piper longum), Lashuna (Allium sativum), Psyllium (Plantago ovata)
A flaxseed oil supplement is also essential for curing diabetes and helping with better overall health. You should take a daily vitamin and flaxseed oil supplement. Flaxseed oil is a great source of omega 9 and omega 3 essential fatty acids which are required for cellular repairing. And cellular repairing is what will eventually allow all cells to accept insulin.
Half teaspoon of ground day leaf and half teaspoon of turmeric needs to be mixed with one tablespoon of gel of Aloe Vera. The mixture should be taken twice a day before the lunch and dinner.
This is perhaps the most well-known food in the treatment of diabetes. The seeds of the karela, as it is locally called, have charantin, which helps in reducing the sugars in the blood. As the name suggests, the bitter gourd is indeed bitter and difficult to eat. But it must be eaten in as much bitter form as possible (without sweetening) or its properties will be lost.
