So my whole life I have had this thick out of control blond curly hair, might sound nice to some but maybe you should read the out of control part again, anyways I always dreamed of having beautiful straight hair like Barbie or the Pantene girl. My mother would always tell me to deal with it and buy me some more moose to slap in it, and then by then end of gym class I looked like the lion king.

So I was now on a mission to find the way to get the perfect hair. I knew all about chemical hair strengtheners that were permanent, but they are horribly hard on your hair and when your hair grows out you then have curly roots. So I tried a flat iron to no avail, it just seemed to fry my hair as well, and it was still "poofy" on top. I can't even begin to tell you the amount of "straight" hair products that I've tried and barely lived through.

I was depressed years had gone by and I was still the Lion King (minus the whiskers please), until that is one day I went to my sisters house. I now know my mother loves my sister more than me, because she had purchased for my sister this amazing Flat Iron called a Farouk CHI GF1539 along with some wonderful CHI thermal spray. I was instantly in love at first flattening. My hair was smooth, shiny, it "glided" to the left and the right, and it was soft with no frizz at all. Well I had to have one of these, and since we know my Mom isn't going to buy one for me, my mission shifted from finding flat hair to finding this beautiful must have hair product.

Well I found it, and after the initial sticker shock set in, I made my first purchase from a beauty supply store for a record 220.00. But it was worth it to me , and I named my flat iron little buddy. Now little buddy did me right for years we went all over the place together, Baja, Cross Country, Hawaii on the other side of the country, high school graduation. Then one day Little Buddy felt it couldn't flatten another day and had to be retired - I was horrified how could Little Buddy do this to me like a bad boyfriend or a broken heal on your favorite pair of shoes.

So my mission began again. I went on an Internet binge for a week until yes I found it again,the perfect Little Buddy Jr- cuz i could never fully replace all the memories me and the original Little Buddy shared. The part that was replaceable to me though was the price. Now mind you I never shopped around for my first CHI , I just bought it on loving impulse like we do with so many things in our lives boyfriends, purses, slippers, but this one I did shop around for and (drum roll please) found for less than half the price. Actual full price of my purchase including tax and shipping was 105.00 and some odd change but who's counting. So do you want to know where I got it? And no it wasn't used it was brand new and I am now in love again, course it's never as good as the first time, but everything evolves and changes and all we keep are our memories to remind us.

The moral of the story is like a good boyfriend, best friend, favorite pair of heels, or purse, you have to shop around to find your best price which in this instance I already have for you. Also never under estimate the power of the Internet which I'm sure you guys already know as here we are.
