Because the nature of tree structure, Windows system will need to read all indexed and information into the memory; When installed software increased, the usually unused information will be required to load into the operatingsystem as well, and the registry will continues to increase in size when some of the software uses registry to store temporary information, configuration and software state.
The next Microsoft Software framework is called .net Framework, which uses XML to replace Windows Registry. Unless your system is purely .net framework, every software design and code in .net compatible guidelines, you are still bind with Registry Growth problems.
This is the main reason we need Registry Cleaners to help us sustain a healthy Registry! There are many tools around that includes registry cleaning function, but I found that only pure registry cleaners will clean the registry better. Embedded tools will only clean half or less of the identified issues.
There are many types of cleaners, how we select the best cleaner to effectively clear and sustain our registry problems? There is tons of Registry Cleaners Review, what is the standard or guidelines in these reviews? We must first identify the core selection guidelines before any of the Registry Cleaners Review means anything to us.
Here are 4 of my suggestions as guidelines:
1.Error Detection Effectiveness - How many errors is found? (This will determine the effectiveness of maintaining the size of registry, even the scan is only to remove unused temporary directory name)
2.User Friendliness – How easy is the tool? Can it be configure to schedule a scan? Can it be configure not to start up with the Windows and vice versa?
3.Tuning Features – Does it includes any tweak utilities? Such as startup manager to select which programs are allow to load at startup? Does it Defrag and compress the registry? Does it remove unwanted web browser toolbar or Browser Helper Object?
4.Price Vs Functions – Does it worth the price? How about comparing others?
If any of the registry cleaner review site employ this 4 standards, then the result will only vary in the method of testing. If we look closely, we will find that many of the review sites don’t comes with the same result. How are we going to determine which is the best?
If you are sensitive enough, you should be able to see the common between the registry cleaner review sites. Those usually ranked high cleaners will be the one. I came across some sites that recommend bad products as selection, I can’t find any review guidelines, I think they are just doing some advertising for a particular products. These are not proper authority site that review products, they are there to earn money, we need to be smarter to avoid such scam!
