Everyone says that they would never go to a strip club, gentleman's club, or an adult entertainment location and fall in love with someone, but it happens more often than you might imagine. In fact, men and women find themselves enchanted with the men and women who dance for a living despite not wanting to. How do you proceed?

The problem with falling for a dancer is that they are sexy and flirty for a living. While you may be falling deeper and deeper for the dancer, they are likely loving you for the payday. You have to remember that while you are attracted to them and you like their attention, this is what they do to get paid. Are the emotions you are feeling returned by them? To put it another way, would they continue to show you interest if you stopped buying them things or tipping them?

This is not to say that you can never make a relationship with a stripper work, because every once and again you can. What you should know is that most strippers have relationships, but they don't start in the club. Instead, they start outside of the club and the boyfriend or girlfriend has to accept that their love interest dances for a living. Most strippers and/or dancers make a policy of never dating a client, so if you have met at the club chances are you will be off limits.

If you are having feelings for a dancer you need to stop and think about how much of these feelings are based on reality and how much of the feelings are reciprocated. When you look past the money and the atmosphere how viable is the relationship? Does the stripper ever meet you outside of the club? Do they seem to enjoy your company when you are not paying them or visiting them at the club. If the answers are no, you probably don't have any business being in love with the stripper.

You have to realize that it is the job of a dancer or stripper, whatever you want to call them, to make you feel good about yourself when you are in their company. This has you coming back again and again. If you met in the club chances are that the individual only sees you as a payday.

This sounds harsh, but it is the truth of it and the truth of the business. If you feel like you are in love with a dancer you really need to look at the situation for what it is. If you are not getting as much as you are giving, it would be well advised to take your feelings outside of the strip joint and find someone who isn't looking to get paid to flirt with you and make you feel good as this will be a more viable and equitable relationship.
